Infinitely Yours is currently in production and will be tour-ready from fall of 2019.
For this work-in-progress showing of the piece at REDCAT, I had a live musician, SORNE.
This piece tells the story of the history of the earth, from the planet’s fiery beginnings to the complex world of humanity.
Originally premiered on the TEDGlobal stage, this magical piece has delighted audiences of all ages from around the world.
This piece (A Flower Breathes) was originally commissioned in 2016 for Pop-Up magazine, to accompany a section of a reading by Claire Hoffman’s “Welcome to Vedaland”. I later asked composer Gregory Ullman and Poet David Baker to bring this piece to a new stage. Live music by River Song Quintet, live reading by David Baker.
TECHRIDER FOR TOURING SHOW
Miwa’s performances are one-woman shows. She is able to travel alone, along with her own equipment (projectors, screen, laptop, props). As long as the presenter is able to provide a darkened space, a sound system, and a stage that is large enough (22ft deep, 15ft wide), Miwa is able to perform. (*Please look closely at the tech rider.)
She has performed in large proscenium theaters for 500+ people, as well as intimate shows in art gallery type spaces with 100 people sitting on floor pillows. She is able to set up in 2 hours, perform, and strike in 45 minutes. In select cases she will consider performing on an outdoor stage. The set-up is similar for all of the solo shows and can be performed back to back.

An interactive set up with live-cam down-shooter and large projection. From my experience, the workshop is ideal for kids age 7-9, who are up to the challenge of making a multi-part story, collaborate on story-telling and character/world building, and making original drawings to interact with. For younger kids (age 4-6) the engagement works as a playground to interact with media and image manipulation.
